Tod Gluf recently retired from the NYPD, his last assignment was Commanding Officer with the NYPD Chief of Department Investigation Review Section Communications Unit in Brooklyn, NY. He served in this role beginning in 2010. From 2005-2013 he served as the Commanding Officer with the NYPD Chief of Department Training Assessment and Coordination Section.

Tod has over 34 years of experience as a police officer in the New York Police Department. He has been an ALERRT Adjunct Instructor since 2010. He was an Adjunct Professor for the Metropolitan College of New York’s Masters in Emergency and Disaster Management, MPA Program. He has served as an Instructor in various areas since 1990, including New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, Center For Domestic Preparedness/Department of Homeland Security, Anniston, AL- WMD Technical Emergency Response Trainer, Center For Domestic Preparedness/FEMA, and the NYPD Police Academy.

He is the Past President of the International Counter Terrorism Officer’s Association (ICTOA). He is currently a member of Department of Homeland Security Emergency Management Response Information Sharing Analysis Center, American Society of Public Administrators, Infragard, FBI Critical Infrastructure Protection Group, American Society of Industrial Security, Memorial Institute for Preventing Terrorism, and New York State Coalition for Crime Prevention.

Tod was awarded Police Officer of the Month in January 1990.

Tod has a Master’s Public Administration from Marist College, a Bachelor’s of Science from East Stroudsburg State University, and an Associates of Science from Nassau Community College.
