Mark DePhillips has dedicated his professional life to serving this country in the military and as a first responder. He served honorably for 11 years with the United States Marine Corps and is a combat veteran of the Iraq war. Mark supervised Marines in 2-man sniper teams and 300 Marines as the Range SNCO (Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge). He was deployed in 2005 as the 3bn/25th Marines Scout Sniper, as the 1st team leader conducting missions in Iraq.

Mark also gained vast experience working with the Cleveland Fire Department where was a Lieutenant Firefighter Paramedic/Lieutenant for 21 years. He also was tasked as an Arson investigator for the department. He is certified by the International School of Tactical Medicine in TEMS Level A and B & and Ohio Tactical Officers Association (OTOA).

In 2007, Mark was tasked with creating and operating within the Fire Cleveland Police Swat Paramedic Program. As the City Police operates a full time Swat team, the assigned team was responsible for civilian and officer safety at all of the, on average, 800 searches and call outs per year. He has taught and trained with the SWAT unit to include all the medical: Selfaid / Buddy-aid, Rapid Deployment SCBA (calls involving fire as a weapon), Active Shooter Response, Self Defense and Tactics.

Mark also owns and operates Krav Maga Tactical where he instructs students in the skillsets of Krav Maga.

He travels the country frequently with his service dog, Bear, and provides training on various topics.
