James Schramm has 20 years professional experience in law enforcement, with expertise in defensive tactics, and is experienced in Dignitary protection, working jointly with the Secret Service and State Department. He has 15 years professional experience as ASP trainer, training law enforcement, military and security professionals worldwide.

Schramm served as a Police Officer in the New York City Police Department in Patrol Services, Tactical Training Unit, and Police Academy In-service Training Unit. More than 20000 police officers were trained in expandable baton, plain clothes tactics, officer safety and survival, and dignitary protection. He was assigned to Intel Division Dignitary protection details for numerous world leaders and dignitaries for UNGA.

Since 2004, Schramm has been an Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP) Trainer. During this time, he has trained Police officers, military and security professionals in the instructional use of the ASP tactical baton, restraints and flashlights, and certified more than 2,500 Law Enforcement, Military and Security Professionals as ASP Instructors.

He has trained men and women all over the world, including in Rome, Orvieto, and Livorno, Italy; Lisbon, Portugal; Barcelona, Spain; Nuremburg, Germany; and Toronto, Canada.

In addition, since 2017, Schramm has served as a Protection Services Specialist for New York’s Finest/NEWS Corporation, NYC, providing protection services for high level executives and their families

Schramm studied Criminal Justice at the Suffolk County Community College.
